All Goals Of Life Start With A Dream. To lead your dreams in the right direction, it is essential to reflect on yourself. Introspection means ‘looking inside. Introspection is the ability to look at yourself from a distance: your thoughts, feelings, motives, behavior, and fantasies.

In this way, you can observe and judge your behavior and experiences, among other things. It helps you find an answer to why and how you did something and what your feelings were about it. And maybe even resolve to do something different in the future.

Now, this is not the place to go into that too extensively. However, I will dwell upon matters such as your faith and values and what your mission and vision are. But before we get to that, I will start with these four questions.

  1. What do you want?
  2. What will bring you happiness?
  3. What get’s you excited?
  4. What are you passionate about?

It would help if you started brainstorming before you have concrete goals to write down, for instance, in a journal. Brainstorming is a valuable process that many prospective high achievers fail to notice or see. To best figure out what goals will help you accomplish what you want in life, you need to get your creative juices flowing.

Start by jotting down all the different ideas about what you would like to do in life. Then, use the first couple of pages of your journal to write down everything that comes to mind. Don’t leave anything out — even if it seems ridiculous or far-fetched.

You can always edit what you have written down later.

Next, you need to take the time to sift through your written ideas and pick out the goals you truly want. Then, go back over your written brainstormed ideas and circle those that appeal to you the most. Finally, after you have decided what you want to achieve, think about how you will achieve what you want to achieve.

If what you want to accomplish will require that you do many different things, come up with a series of small goals that will help you get where you want to go. Don’t give yourself one vast, complicated goal. Small, easily carried out goals are much easier to work on than huge, complex ones.

Write all your goals in your journal. Put a bookmark in the section of your journal where you have written down your goals. Then, every day, make sure that you take the time to read your goals in the morning and the evening. You can also read your goals more often if you would like to. The more often you read your personal goals, the less likely you will allow yourself to forget about them.

Before you started giving up on your dreams because of worry, fear, limiting beliefs, and self-fulfilling prophecies planted into your mind by often well-meaning adults?

Because of these feelings and fears, few of us take on such grandiose dreams. Instead, we settle for the ordinary and, as a result, fall into a “reality” trap.

What do you truly want? If you could do anything you wanted, how would you spend your time? What if you could start over with a clean slate? Where would you live? What will give you the thrill of a lifetime? Take a few minutes. Who would your friends be? Think about it.

This is the first—and a key—step toward achieving your goals. So let those long-awaited wants bubble to the surface. Keep in mind that this kind of dreaming is best done when you are feeling inspired and energized. Boundless. Because the quality of the goals you set for yourself makes all the difference between living a fulfilling life and just living an average life.

So go ahead, dream and list it all. Write down whichever of your ‘dreams’ you consider important enough to want to achieve. If you find this difficult, this list of goal categories may come in handy.

My goals in life

While there is no wrong goal in life, not everyone can achieve their dreams. For example, not everyone can become a doctor because they need to go to medical school and become certified.

Not everyone can be a professional athlete. That’s not to say that someone can’t achieve their goals if they don’t become a professional athlete- there are plenty of other careers to choose from. But some people are simply not cut out for a career in athletics.

That’s how I look at my goals of life. The goals I have must have meaning for me and must be obtainable when I put the effort in.

Smart Goals must be in writing. An unwritten want is just a wish. If it’s in writing, it’s real, significant, and the beginnings of a commitment.
Writing down your smart goals also makes the goal more powerful. It has been proven that when people write things down, they are more likely to focus on them and achieve their goals.

Often people focus on what they want to achieve in terms of having (I want a bigger house, a larger income, a faster car) or doing (I want to travel more, do more workouts, relax more) when goals are concerned. You may, however, want to consider putting “being” in the equation too (I want to be happy, fulfilled, that type of person or anything else you want to be).
